ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven fitness professional to join our team in a hybrid role as an Assistant Manager/Personal Trainer. This position is ideal for someone passionate about fitness, customer service, and leadership. The ideal candidate is flexible, reliable, hardworking, and an outstanding representative of our brand, with a strong desire to help others achieve their health and fitness goals while supporting daily gym operations.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous work experience in customer service, community engagement, sales, and personal or group training. A valid personal or group training certification is REQUIRED.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal Training Duties
- Deliver personalized one-on-one and group training sessions
- Conduct fitness assessments and body composition scans
- Develop customized workout programs based on client goals
- Motivate clients and hold them accountable for progress
- Provide exercise modifications for different fitness levels
- Offer online coaching and maintain consistent client communication
- Foster a welcoming and supportive fitness environment
Assistant Management Duties
- Support daily gym operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Conduct facility tours and assist members in onboarding
- Manage membership and personal training sales
- Provide exceptional customer service and build strong member relationships
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the facility
- Handle communications via phone, email, text, and app
- Assist in organizing and participating in community outreach and events
- Support administrative tasks, including billing and member management
Shared Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude and inspire both members and team members
- Promote the Anytime Fitness brand and culture
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Ensure a high-quality member experience at all times
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in the fitness industry, customer service, and sales preferred
- Current personal or group training certification (e.g., NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE, ISSA) required
- Strong passion for health, fitness, and helping others succeed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor
- Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented
- Technologically savvy with the ability to manage digital communication tools
- Flexible availability (including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed)
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
