EduSolutionsKC is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team as a full time employee and/or independent contractor. This role involves providing additional school based duties as required for instructional planning, case management for IEP and Evaluations, professional development, parent-teacher conferences and communication, staff meetings and school events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from an accredited program.
  • Current Missouri and/or Kansas licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and use web based technology for communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
  • Knowledge of augmentative alternative communication devices is preferred.
  • Previous experience in school, healthcare or clinic setting.

Experience

  • A degree in Special Education.
  • Experience working with pediatric to age 21 populations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with early intervention strategies and school-based therapy services is a plus.
  • Strong assessment skills to evaluate needs effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
