A typical day at work would involve discussions with the customer’s onshore team &stakeholders to understand and gather software requirements. The candidate is expected to understand these requirements, use his/her logical reasoning to determine the gaps in requirements discussed, determine the fastest & best approach to deliver the output and manage the team to implement the solution in a timely manner. You are the owner of the project and hence, you are fully responsible for the software that you deliver to the customer.
Your job would involve integrations with multiple third-party travel applications via APIs. Hence, experience of integrating travel portals integrated with flight, hotels, cruise, activities & transfer APIs is a must.
Roles & Responsibilities:

2. Managing the product backlog: You will create the list of backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall strategy and business objectives of the project. Further, you will need to map out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development. You will also ensure the backlog is continually updated during the course of the project.
3. Anticipating client needs: As a product owner, you are expected to understand and anticipate the client’s needs to manage the development process more effectively. You will use your deep domain experience and knowledge to anticipate problems or needs and address them in a timely manner, thus staying ahead of your clients.
4. Acting as a primary point of contact: You are the primary contact from the offshore team and the link between stakeholders and teams. And, as such, you are an expert communicator, making sure there’s buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and clear instructions and deliverables for the development team.
5. Gauging product progress at every iteration: You are accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product. You will make judgment calls on the performance, deciding if the team needs to go back to the drawing board or if they can move on to the next steps.
Candidate Profile: Our requirement is extremely specific, and we are very particular about the candidate we are looking for. The selected candidate would be a street-smart individual with the focus on COMPLETION of tasks at hand. We are NOT looking for candidates who require hand-holding at every stage.
