Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced COBOL Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale mainframe applications. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in COBOL and mainframe technologies, technical leadership capabilities, and the ability to guide teams through legacy enhancement and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Must drive development and maintenance using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2/IMS
• Lead solution design, code reviews, and technical decision-making
• Must understand Agile methodologies and DevOps for mainframe
• Perform complex impact analysis and ensure high-quality delivery
• Mentor and guide developers; enforce coding standards and best practices
• Coordinate with architects, business analysts, QA, and production support teams
• Own end-to-end delivery for assigned modules, including release readiness
• Support production issues, root cause analysis, and performance tuning
• Participate in legacy modernization and mainframe-to-Java/cloud initiatives
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements
• Having Assembler experience is an additional advantage
