Summary of the Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead who lives and breathes software development and takes real pride in building great products. This role goes beyond writing code — you'll set technical direction, mentor a team of engineers, and serve as the bridge between engineering and product. This is ideal for someone who doesn't just implement requirements, but truly partners with the business to solve meaningful customer problems. You'll have significant ownership, a strong voice in technical decisions, and the opportunity to shape how our product and engineering culture evolve.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high‑quality, scalable software using C# and .NET.
• Serve as Tech Lead for a team of engineers — setting technical direction, running code reviews, and raising the quality bar across the codebase.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to break down complex problems into clear, executable engineering plans.
• Mentor and grow engineers on the team through hands‑on guidance, thoughtful feedback, and leading by example.
• Advocate for clean architecture, maintainable code, and engineering best practices — and hold the team accountable to them.
• Challenge assumptions and propose better solutions when something doesn't feel right.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from technical scoping and architecture through delivery, iteration, and incident response.
• Contribute to hiring and team growth by participating in technical interviews and helping shape engineering culture.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a Tech Lead or senior technical leadership capacity.
• Deep expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams — setting direction, running code reviews, and mentoring engineers at varying levels.
• A customer‑first mindset — you focus on outcomes, not just blindly coding to specs.
• Strong opinions backed by experience — you're comfortable challenging ideas and pushing for the best solution.
• A relentless drive to deliver — "impossible" isn't in your vocabulary.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a distributed team, with reliable overlap during 9 AM – 2 PM US Central Time.
• A strong engineering or computer science foundation, or a self‑taught background paired with a genuine passion for software development.
