NextGen Hospitality Solutions is excited to announce an opening for a Director of Catering and Special Event Sales in Burbank. This full-time, on-site position is a fantastic opportunity to lead our catering department, driving innovative event solutions and exceptional guest experiences within the vibrant restaurant industry.
As the Director of Catering and Special Event Sales, you will play a crucial role in shaping our event offerings and ensuring that each occasion reflects our commitment to excellence. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and our culinary team to create memorable experiences that set us apart in the hospitality sector. We are looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.
We offer a competitive salary range of $155,000 - $175,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package and opportunities for career advancement within our growing company.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for catering and special events.
- Lead and manage the 5 person catering sales team to drive performance and foster a high-performance culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to design innovative catering menus that reflect current trends.
- Oversee all aspects of event execution, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to promote our catering services and facilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in catering and special event sales, preferably at a director
- Must have managed a team of catering sales managers
- Experience managing special event and catering sales north of $8M annually
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the restaurant industry and catering trends.
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
