NextGen Hospitality Solutions is looking for a talented Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef to join our innovative team at Scratch Kitchen in Cornelius. This full-time, on-site position is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals at the mid-senior level who are passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation, and leading a team of culinary staff. You will play a crucial role in menu development, maintaining food safety standards, and creating an inviting atmosphere that reflects our commitment to fresh, scratch-made cuisine.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 annually, along with a supportive work environment that fosters creativity and growth within the culinary industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow
  • Supervise kitchen staff and provide training and guidance
  • Assist in menu planning and recipe development
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Monitor food quality and presentation standards
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent service
  • Handle customer feedback and address any concerns promptly

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef in a restaurant environment
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for scratch cooking
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred
