General Manager - Premium Steakhouse
About the Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our steakhouse. Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee all daily restaurant operations ensuring consistent quality, service excellence, and profitability
- Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and kitchen operations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to optimize costs while maintaining quality
Financial Performance
- Develop and manage budgets, P&L statements, and financial forecasts
- Drive revenue growth through effective marketing, promotions, and guest experience initiatives
- Control labor and food costs while maintaining service standards
- Analyze sales data and adjust strategies to meet financial targets
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house staff
- Create and maintain a positive, professional work environment
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and guest-first service
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives outstanding service and memorable dining experiences
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Build relationships with regular customers and the local community
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements
Qualifications
Required:
- 3-5+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in upscale/casual dining or steakhouse concepts
- Proven track record of financial management and achieving revenue targets
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of 20+ employees
- Knowledge of food safety, alcohol service regulations, and labor laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Serv-Safe certification (or ability to obtain)
Preferred:
- Experience with steakhouse or fine dining operations
- Familiarity with the Springfield market and local dining scene
- Background in wine and beverage programs
- POS system proficiency
