RhythMedix is seeking a talented Design Director to join our innovative team in Cheyenne. This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to lead design initiatives within the medical equipment industry, focusing on creating user-centered solutions that improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall healthcare experience.

As a Design Director, you will oversee the design strategy and execution for our product line, collaborating closely with engineering, marketing, and product management teams. Your expertise will help guide the development of cutting-edge medical devices, ensuring they meet both functional and aesthetic standards while adhering to regulatory requirements. This role is crucial to advancing our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and manage the design team to deliver innovative medical equipment solutions
• Develop and implement design strategies aligned with company goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance
• Conduct user research to inform design decisions and enhance user experience
• Oversee the creation of design specifications, prototypes, and final products
• Mentor junior designers and promote a culture of creativity and excellence
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes impacting design
• Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders and executive leadership

What you need to succeed

• Master’s degree in Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in design management within the medical equipment industry
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful product design projects
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD tools)
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance in medical design
