Description
This contract position is on-site and offers a unique opportunity to work within the field of anesthesiology, specifically in cardiac anesthesiology, where you will play a crucial role in patient care.
In this position, you will collaborate with anesthesiologists and other medical professionals to provide high-quality anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional medical services, ensuring patient safety, and enhancing overall surgical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels during surgery
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to develop anesthesia care plans
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and evaluate patient medical histories
- Provide post-anesthesia care and manage recovery
- Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures and safety
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology and cardiac practices
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Associate degree in Anesthesia or related field
- Certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant or CRNA
- Experience in cardiac anesthesiology preferred
- Strong understanding of anesthesia equipment and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9a-7p or 11a-7p
Weekend call shifts available
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
