**Float Position Overview: Clare, Gladwin, & West Branch**
- **Clinical Responsibilities:**
- **Call Coverage Options:** Primarily based in Clare with no OB call requirements. Expected response time is within 1 hour.
- **Call Schedule:** 1:3 ratio with 1-2 holidays covered annually.
- **Weeknight Call:** Coverage until 11 PM.
- **Weekend Call:** 7 AM - 11 PM.
- **Work Schedule Details:**
- **Start Date:** August 17, 2026.
- **Orientation:** 1-2 business days for orientation and proctoring.
- **Weekly Schedule:** Monday-Friday; shifts are 8 hours each, from 06:30 to 15:00. Operates under an independent model.
- **Cases and Procedures:**
- **Scope of Practice:** Includes scopes, routine laparoscopic abdominal procedures, ophthalmology (cataract surgeries), podiatry (4 days/month), orthopedics (1/2 day/month with block scheduling), vascular (occasionally 1 day/month), cardiology (TEEs and cardioversions), and surgical procedures requiring general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), and optional regional blocks (training available for those needing refreshers).
- **Procedure Distribution:** GI cases are located solely at Gladwin with inpatient cases constituting 10-20% and outpatient cases making up 80-90% of the workload.
- **EMR and Documentation:** - Utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records and dictation.
- **Required Qualifications:** - Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS.
**Case Logs:** Applicants must demonstrate provision of CRNA-related services to at least 75 patients within the past 12 months.
- **Licensure Considerations:** - Must hold a Michigan license exclusively; IMLC consideration is an option, but not required.
