**Position Overview:**
**Work Setting:** - Combination of clinic and potential on-call duties, though call is not mandatory if the candidate is not willing.
**Case Mix:** - Approximately 70% inpatient and 30% outpatient procedures.
**Schedule Details:**
- Immediate start required, with potential for extension.
- Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
- Flexible scheduling based on departmental needs and provider availability/preferences.
**Procedural Responsibilities:**
- Proficient in performing a variety of cases, including:
- Endoscopy - General Surgery
- Obstetrics/Gynecology
- Orthopedics
- Pain Management
- Urology
- Vascular Surgery
- Pediatric anesthesiology
- Thoracic procedures - Experience with blocks is preferred but not mandatory.
**Documentation and EMR:** - Utilization of EPIC for electronic medical records and dictation.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Demonstrated competence in the following areas:
- Spinal anesthesia - Epidural blocks - Venous and arterial catheterization
- Certifications: - AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
**Case Log Requirements:**
- Documentation of at least 75 cases within the past 12 months.
**Licensure:** - Must hold a Michigan medical license or be in the process of obtaining one (IMLC or waiting for licensure is not acceptable).
