This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality anesthesia care in a dynamic medical practice environment.
As a Locum CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia care to patients across various surgical specialties. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients’ vital signs throughout procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop anesthesia care plans
- Evaluate patients pre-operatively and post-operatively
- Ensure adherence to best practices in anesthesia care
- Provide patient education regarding anesthesia procedures
- Document all aspects of anesthesia care accurately
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and CRNA
- Basic understanding of anesthesia protocols and techniques
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred
Schedule: 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
Weeknight and weekend call
Shifts available at multiple hospitals
Skillsets Required: Spinal, regional, epidural, OB, neurosurgical spine, complex vascular (except open heart), complex orthopedics, vent management, central and arterial line insertion
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
