As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will play a vital role in delivering anesthesia services for various surgical procedures. Your expertise will directly enhance our operational capabilities and improve patient outcomes, contributing to the overall mission of our medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients during surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective anesthesia care
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and discuss risks with patients
- Manage post-operative recovery and provide pain management solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Participate in continuing education and training initiatives
Requirements
- Medical degree with a specialization in Anesthesiology
- Current board certification in Anesthesiology
- Associate-level experience in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment
Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8a-5p) and Friday (8a-12p)
No call or weekends
Daily Volume: 20-35 patients and/or procedures
Patient Population: Adults only
All standard procedures required, lumbar punctures are preferred
Support Staff: APP, RNs, MAs, X-ray techs,
In-House Resources: 2 procedure rooms, 2 C-arm machines, 2 X-ray rooms, CT, MRI, and physical therapy
EMR: Epic
Documentation: SUKI
Dictation: Dragon
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
