 This contract position is on-site and offers a unique opportunity to provide vital anesthesia services in a fast-paced and rewarding environment .

As a Locum MD Anesthesiologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Your expertise will contribute to a collaborative healthcare setting, where you will work alongside a team of dedicated medical professionals. 

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia plans
• Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure optimal patient care
• Manage post-anesthesia recovery and address any complications
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff regarding anesthesia protocols
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices and technologies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
• Current and valid medical license to practice in the state
• Board certification in Anesthesiology is preferred
• Prior experience in a clinical anesthesiology setting
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and patient management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care

Flexible Schedule: 8-hour day shifts available Monday-Friday

In-house call shifts

Patient Volume: 12-14 per day

Diverse Case Mix: Trauma, orthopedics, general surgery, vascular, orthopedics/spine, urology, and robotics

EMR: Epic

Must be ABA or ABPS board-certified or board-eligible
