As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patient vital signs during procedures
- Evaluate patients pre-operatively to determine anesthesia plans
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Manage anesthesia-related emergencies and complications
- Document anesthesia care and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management recommendations
- Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology
- Strong clinical skills in administering various types of anesthesia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
- Prior experience in a medical practice setting is preferred
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, specific dates
Beeper call shifts available
CRNAs take 1st call, MD is expected to go in
Cases: OB, general, ortho, endo, uro, and gyn
5 ORs, 2 endo suites
1:4 or 1:5 medical supervision
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
