As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering anesthesia services for various surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and evaluations
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to determine anesthesia plans
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after procedures
- Manage post-anesthesia recovery and evaluate patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in anesthesiology
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff regarding anesthesia-related issues
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license in the state of practice
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology
- Experience in anesthesiology as a practicing physician
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Schedule: 40 hours per week, no weekends
Daily Volume: ~3 cases
Patient Population: All ages and degrees of disability, including trauma
Cases: Bread and butter OB/GYN, pediatric dental, ENT, and orthopedics
Duties: General anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and epidurals
No supervision required
Must be board-certified
