As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a collaborative environment, focusing on patient-centered care and effective pain management. This role not only supports our operational goals but also enhances the quality of care provided to our community.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Assess patient medical histories and evaluate anesthesia risks
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical professionals to develop anesthesia plans
- Provide post-anesthesia care and assess patient recovery
- Educate patients and families on anesthesia procedures and safety measures
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and safety protocols
- Document anesthesia care and patient responses accurately
- Participate in continuous medical education and training programs
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Anesthesiology
- Mid-senior level experience in anesthesiology practice
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of current anesthesia techniques and practices
- Active medical license in the state of Tennessee
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts
No call requirement
Setting: Onsite
Daily Volume: 15-25 blocks per day
Case Types: Lumbar blocks, cervical blocks, radiofrequency ablations, sympathetic blocks, joint injections, spinal cord stimulator, transparametal, and other bread and butter cases
Must be board-certified
