As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a collaborative environment, focusing on patient-centered care and effective pain management. This role not only supports our operational goals but also enhances the quality of care provided to our community.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
• Assess patient medical histories and evaluate anesthesia risks
• Collaborate with surgeons and other medical professionals to develop anesthesia plans
• Provide post-anesthesia care and assess patient recovery
• Educate patients and families on anesthesia procedures and safety measures
• Ensure compliance with medical regulations and safety protocols
• Document anesthesia care and patient responses accurately
• Participate in continuous medical education and training programs

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Anesthesiology
• Mid-senior level experience in anesthesiology practice
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of current anesthesia techniques and practices
• Active medical license in the state of Tennessee

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts

No call requirement

Setting: Onsite

Daily Volume: 15-25 blocks per day

Case Types: Lumbar blocks, cervical blocks, radiofrequency ablations, sympathetic blocks, joint injections, spinal cord stimulator, transparametal, and other bread and butter cases

Must be board-certified
