As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes, making a significant impact on our community's health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients during surgical procedures
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anesthesia as necessary
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthesia care plans
- Evaluate patients pre-operatively to assess anesthesia risks
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process
- Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluate patient recovery
- Document anesthesia procedures and patient responses accurately
- Stay informed about advances in anesthesia techniques and practices
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Nebraska
- Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills in anesthesiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Experience in locum tenens or temporary assignments is a plus
- Schedule: Friday (5p-7a) or weekends (7a-7a)
Annual Volume: 3,600 surgical cases
Case Types: Orthopedic, L&D, spine, GI, gynecology, urology, cath lab, interventional radiology, bariatric bypass, and minimal vascular cases
Support Staff: Anesthesia providers, CRNA, Anesthesia Tech
Will practice independently
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
