 This on-site, contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality anesthetic care in a dynamic medical practice setting.

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement anesthesia care plans that meet individual patient needs. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall success of the medical procedures and patient outcomes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care
  • Assess patient health and medical history to determine anesthesia plans
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients
  • Respond to any anesthesia-related emergencies during surgery
  • Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures and safety
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of anesthesia care

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology or eligibility for board certification
  • Active medical license to practice in the state
  • Experience in anesthesiology preferred, but not mandatory for associates
  • Strong clinical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts

200-bed hospital

10 ORs, 3 minor rooms, 2 delivery rooms

Case Mix: Orthopedics, spines, robotic surgery, ENT, GYN, ophthalmology, urology, plastics, and podiatry

No trauma, hearts, or neuro cases

Support Staff: CRNAs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
