Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and prepare patients effectively
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patient recovery
- Manage any anesthesia-related complications as they arise
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff and other medical personnel
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay current with best practices and innovations in anesthesiology
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Current board certification in Anesthesiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Nebraska
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient care
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Experience in managing diverse patient populations
- Prior experience in a clinical anesthesiology setting is preferred
Schedule: Fridays, 5p–7a; Saturdays and Sundays, 7a–7a
Duties: Independent Cases
Required Procedures: Ortho, labor & delivery, spine, GI, gynecology, urology, cath lab, interventional radiology, bariatric bypass, minimal vascular cases
Support Staff: Anesthesia providers, CRNA, Anesthesia Tech
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
BLS & DEA required
