In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and comfort of our young patients undergoing surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients for various surgical procedures
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and ensure their safety during anesthetic procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to establish patient care plans
- Evaluate patients' medical histories and assess their suitability for anesthesia
- Provide post-anesthesia care and follow-up consultations
- Educate patients and their families about anesthesia processes and safety measures
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology and pediatric care
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency in Anesthesiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a medical team
- Compassionate attitude towards patient care
- Basic understanding of pediatric health issues and anesthesia protocols
- Willingness to learn and contribute positively to a fast-paced environment
Schedule: 7:00a-3:30p, 7:00a-5:00p, or 7:00a-7:00p
