 This contract position is on-site and offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in a supportive environment.

As a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with heart and lung conditions. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes and advancing the quality of care we provide. 

Responsibilities

• Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
• Collaborate with surgical teams and medical staff
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
• Educate patients and their families about procedures and recovery
• Participate in surgical rounds and case reviews
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active medical license to practice in the state of Georgia
• Strong clinical skills and surgical expertise
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement

Schedule: 7a-7a

Cases: Mitraclip, TAVR, thoracic and aortic repair, etc.

Consults and rounding required

Support Staff: PAs, RNs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
