As a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with heart and lung conditions. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes and advancing the quality of care we provide.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
- Collaborate with surgical teams and medical staff
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
- Educate patients and their families about procedures and recovery
- Participate in surgical rounds and case reviews
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Georgia
- Strong clinical skills and surgical expertise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Schedule: 7a-7a
Cases: Mitraclip, TAVR, thoracic and aortic repair, etc.
Consults and rounding required
Support Staff: PAs, RNs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
