This contract position requires on-site presence and offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the mental health and well-being of young patients in our community.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy in a supportive environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Facilitate therapy sessions, including individual and family therapy
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for holistic care
- Participate in on-site meetings and case discussions
- Stay updated with the latest research and practices in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Provide guidance and support to families regarding treatment options
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with a valid medical license
- Associate-level experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with current mental health practices and regulations
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in psychiatry
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p
No call requirement
Setting: Inpatient
Daily Volume: 12 – 16 patients
Patient Population: Between the ages of 5-18 years old
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
