 This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering immediate medical attention to patients in critical situations. You will collaborate with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and support our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients in emergency situations
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
• Stabilize patients and perform life-saving procedures as necessary
• Document patient interactions and care provided accurately
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up care
• Maintain current knowledge of emergency medicine best practices
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Provide support to nursing staff and other medical personnel

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Current board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Springfield
• Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practices

Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends

Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts

Shifts available at multiple facilities

Annual Volume: 85k patients at one ED, 15k patients other ED

Must be board-certified
