As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in delivering emergency care to patients, collaborating with a skilled team to manage acute medical conditions. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, and you'll have the chance to work on a variety of cases in a supportive and dynamic medical practice. 

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages
• Assess and manage acute medical conditions in a timely manner
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately
• Perform procedures and interventions as required
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards
• Participate in case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and their families on health management

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Current board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Active medical license in the state of Virginia
• Strong clinical skills and ability to handle emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Prior experience in a similar emergency medicine role is preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems

Flexible Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts

No call requirement

Annual Volume: 36k patients

Daily Census: 80 patients

Mid-level support available

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified, ABEM
