This is a contract position that requires an on-site presence, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to our medical practice in a dynamic environment.
As a Locum MD or DO, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality emergency medical care to our patients. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of medical conditions. This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive timely and effective care in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients
- Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes
- Manage emergency situations and respond to critical care needs
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and standards
- Participate in continuous education and training programs
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Florida
- Emergency Medicine residency training preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in emergency medicine (Associate level)
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of current medical practices and emergency protocols
- Level II Trauma, ACS Level I Trauma
Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
No call
Setting: Hospital ED or free-standing ED
Required Procedures: Central access, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, intubation, pacing, orthopedic stabilization, etc.
Support Staff: APPs
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
