 This contract position is an on-site role that provides an exceptional opportunity to deliver high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in assessing and treating patients with urgent medical needs. You'll work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective treatment, contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community. 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in need
• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostics to determine treatment plans
• Administer appropriate medical interventions and therapies
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
• Stay current with advancements in emergency medicine practices
• Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Current medical license to practice in the state of Florida
• Experience in emergency medicine or related field
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications

Schedule: 24-hour shifts

Annual Volume: 25k patients

11-bed ED

On-site CT, X-ray, and lab

Support Staff: APPs

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
