This full-time, on-site position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to our medical practice while delivering exceptional care to our patients.
As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and participate in various medical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations and evaluate gastrointestinal health
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies and biopsies
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
- Educate patients about gastrointestinal health and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Arizona
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in gastroenterology
- Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practices
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Procedures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Evening and weekend call shifts required
Daily Volume: ~8 consults, ~10 procedures
Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EGD, and ERCP
Support Staff: 2 APPs, anesthesia
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
