Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of surgical procedures in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Participate in surgical rounds and departmental meetings
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and recovery plans
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Associate level experience in General Surgery
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Strong clinical and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Level III Trauma Center
Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (7a-7a)
Daily Census: 1 case
Patient Population: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, & Geriatric
Support Staff: Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, X-Ray Tech
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
ATLS & DEA required
