Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and physical examinations
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies
  • Engage in detailed discussions with patients regarding their treatment options
  • Provide on-call support and crisis management for patients as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions to enhance care delivery
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Hematology Oncology or Medical Oncology
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and families
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred
  • Valid medical license to practice in Massachusetts
  • Capable of handling a diverse range of patient cases and medical scenarios

Flexible Schedule: 8a-5p, 3 to 5-day workweek

Call Requirement: Every Monday night and 1:4 weekend rotation

Will cover multiple facilities

Patient Census: 12-15 per day

Case Split: 60% hematology, 40% medical oncology

EMR: Epic

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
