 This contract position is on-site and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to our medical practice while serving the community.

As a Locum MD/DO in Internal Medicine, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. This role offers a chance to enhance your clinical skills in a supportive environment while addressing the medical needs of the population.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement patient management plans
  • Provide preventive care and health education to patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Active medical license in the state of practice
  • Experience in Internal Medicine or relevant clinical setting
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

No call requirement

Setting: Outpatient internal medicine practice

Patient Volume: 20 per day

Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

15 or 30-minute patient visits

Support Staff: RNs, MAs, and patient service representatives

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
