As a Locum Neurologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with neurological disorders, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care. This role is essential in ensuring continuity of care and enhancing patient outcomes during periods of staffing shortages. 

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment and management of patients with neurological conditions
• Conduct thorough neurological examinations and diagnostics
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in case discussions and clinical meetings
• Educate patients and their families about neurological disorders and treatment options
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in neurology and healthcare practices

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license in the state of Virginia
• Board certification in Neurology preferred
• Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in neurology
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices

Schedule: 7a-5p inpatient, 5p-7a tele

Call Requirement: 2 nights per week by phone

Patient Volume: 15 patients

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
