. This contract position is primarily on-site and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a thriving medical practice while providing essential care to our patients.

As a Locum OB/GYN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care, ensuring the health and well-being of women throughout their reproductive lives. You will collaborate closely with our medical staff to manage patient care, assist in surgical procedures, and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients
• Perform routine examinations, screenings, and diagnostic tests
• Manage prenatal care and assist in labor and delivery
• Conduct surgical procedures as required
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in on-call duties as needed

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license in New York State
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN practice
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement

Schedule: 24-hour in-house call shifts

Annual Volume: 1,500-1,800 deliveries

Patient Population: High acuity with multiple diagnoses

Setting: 30-bed L&D unit

Team Structure: 6+ attending OB/GYN physicians, locum OB/GYN physicians, etc.

Full support staff available

EMR: Epic

Must be ABOG board-certified
