As a Locum MD/DO, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care for women throughout their life stages, including routine examinations, prenatal care, and gynecological surgeries. Your contribution is vital to maintaining our commitment to high-quality patient care, and you will work closely with our dedicated healthcare team to ensure positive outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and provide clinical management for patients
- Administer prenatal and postnatal care, including counseling and education
- Perform gynecological procedures and surgeries as required
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records
- Stay current with medical advancements in gynecology and obstetrics
- Provide empathetic and compassionate patient care
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is preferred
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
- Prior experience in an Ob/Gyn setting preferred
- Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
Schedule: 24-hour weekend call, weeknight call
Setting: Inpatient
Patient Volume: ~35-40 per month
Cases: Full OB scope, no scheduled GYN or surgery cases
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
