Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic examinations on tissue specimens
- Interpret laboratory results and provide accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on patient management
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay updated on advancements in pathology and medical technology
- Consult with other specialists regarding complex cases
- Provide education and training to medical staff as needed
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Pathology preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a pathology setting
- Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of laboratory standards and regulations
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No required call shifts
