Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Manage patient care and monitor progress throughout rehabilitation
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide patient education on rehabilitation techniques and self-management strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
  • Stay current with advancements in physical medicine and rehabilitation

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Current medical license to practice in California
  • Experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation preferred
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 12p-8p

Daily Volume: 25-28 per day

424-bed hospital with a CARF-accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Program

Will provide comprehensive rehabilitation care for patients with neurologic, orthopedic, and complex medical conditions

Multidisciplinary Team: Physiatrists, hospitalists, PT, OT, SLP, nursing, social work, and case management

Experience in spinal cord injury rehabilitation is highly preferred 

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified
