This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional medical care in a collaborative environment within the medical practice industry.

As a Locum Radiologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients through advanced imaging techniques. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the quality of care we provide. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
  • Interpret imaging results and communicate findings to referring physicians
  • Collaborate with medical staff to develop comprehensive patient care plans
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and imaging standards
  • Provide consultations for complex cases requiring radiological expertise
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education activities
  • Stay updated with advancements in radiology and imaging technologies

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Radiology
  • Current medical license to practice in the state
  • Experience in diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement

Schedule: 8a-4:30p

Daily Volume: ~50 studies and 4-6 procedures

Required Procedures: Lumbar punctures, barium studies, various centesis exams with drains, CT/US biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, and suprapubic catheters

Support Staff: Diagnostic imaging nurses and techs

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
