As a Locum Radiologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients through advanced imaging techniques. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the quality of care we provide.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
- Interpret imaging results and communicate findings to referring physicians
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop comprehensive patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and imaging standards
- Provide consultations for complex cases requiring radiological expertise
- Document patient information and maintain accurate records
- Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education activities
- Stay updated with advancements in radiology and imaging technologies
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Radiology
- Current medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in diagnostic imaging procedures
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Schedule: 8a-4:30p
Daily Volume: ~50 studies and 4-6 procedures
Required Procedures: Lumbar punctures, barium studies, various centesis exams with drains, CT/US biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, and suprapubic catheters
Support Staff: Diagnostic imaging nurses and techs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses
