As a Locum Radiologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images, collaborating closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. This position is ideal for an associate-level physician looking to expand their experience in a dynamic medical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
  • Interpret medical images and provide accurate diagnoses
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss imaging findings and patient care
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records
  • Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
  • Stay updated with advancements in radiology and medical imaging technology
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Provide excellent patient care and communication throughout the imaging process

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina
  • Experience in radiology, with a strong understanding of imaging techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

No call requirement

Setting: Onsite

Case Types: DX and light IR

EMR: Epic

PACS: Sectra

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
