As a Locum Surgical Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with various types of cancers. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and you will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of our practice and advancing our commitment to comprehensive cancer treatment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with cancer
- Perform surgical procedures related to oncology
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Provide patient education on treatment options and procedures
- Monitor and manage post-operative care and recovery
- Participate in tumor board meetings and case discussions
- Stay current with advancements in surgical oncology techniques and practices
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of Georgia
- Board certification in Surgical Oncology is preferred
- Experience in surgical oncology, preferably in a clinical setting
- Strong surgical skills and proficiency in oncology procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
Flexible schedule
Daily Volume: 20+ patients
Required Cases: Surgical oncology/HPB surgery
Support Staff: Additional MDs and APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
