Requirements

  • Valid MD or DO license to practice in the state
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Board certification in relevant specialties preferred
  • Level I Trauma

Shift Type: 24-hour call shifts

Patient Population: High acuity

2 CVORs, 20-bed CVICU

Duties: Provide management for cardiothoracic surgery patients across the continuum of care, deliver surgical coverage, consults, daily rounding, and on-call duties

Support Staff: ICU team, cardiology, interventional cardiology, anesthesia, APPs, perfusionists, and OR staff

Procedures Required: CABG, valve surgery, ECMO, emergent post-PCI, Type A aortic dissections, chest exploration/re-entry/postoperative bleeding management, temporary mechanical circulatory support management, TAVR

EMR: Cerner + iMed

Must be board-certified
