Responsibilities

  • Perform surgical procedures related to trauma and emergency cases
  • Evaluate and manage patients in both pre-operative and post-operative settings
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans
  • Provide on-call surgical services as required
  • Document all patient interactions and surgical procedures accurately
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in trauma surgery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
  • Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and recovery

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
  • Experience in trauma surgery, preferably in an acute care setting
  • Strong surgical skills and proficiency in trauma procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Commitment to maintaining patient safety and quality of care
