 This on-site, contract position offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality surgical care in a supportive environment within the Medical Practice industry.

As a Locum MD, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional surgical services, addressing patient needs, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. This position not only allows you to contribute to meaningful patient outcomes but also offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of surgical procedures in a safe and efficient manner
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments
• Monitor and manage post-operative recovery and complications
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding surgical options
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
• Stay current with best practices in general surgery and medical care
• Participate in hospital surgical meetings and case discussions

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Current medical license to practice in the applicable state
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general surgery
• Strong surgical skills and familiarity with various surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient care and ethical practice in surgery
• Able to provide weekend availability as required

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts

Daily Volume: 5 patients

Duties: Rounding, ER call, and consults

Support Staff: RNs, ER team

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified
