As a Locum MD in Hematology Oncology, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform procedures related to hematology and oncology
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Monitor and manage patient progress throughout treatment
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in hematology oncology
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Hematology Oncology
- 3-5 years of clinical experience in hematology oncology
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 4 days per week
Light call requirement
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Volume: 15+ per day
1 round of consults in the morning and 1 round in the afternoon
Case Mix: Hematology and medical oncology
Support Staff: 2 additional physicians
Must be board-certified
