As a Locum MD in Hematology Oncology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat various hematological and oncological conditions
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients
- Perform necessary procedures and interventions as required
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Hematology Oncology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Abingdon
- Strong clinical skills and experience in hematology and oncology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred
Schedule: 8a-4:30p, 4 and 5-day workweeks
Coverage: 2 weeks per month
Call Requirement: 1 week per month
Patient Volume: 15 per day
Facility: 24-chair infusion room and onsite radiation oncology
50% hematology, 50% oncology
Support Staff: Additional MDs, APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
