 This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.

As a Locum MD in Neurology, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and managing neurological conditions, contributing to our commitment to improving patient outcomes. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure the highest standard of care for our patients. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and neurological examinations
• Diagnose and develop treatment plans for neurological disorders
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Stay current with advancements in neurology and medical practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Participate in case discussions and team meetings
• Manage follow-up care and monitor patient progress

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD) with a specialization in Neurology
• Active medical license to practice in the state of North Dakota
• Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in neurology
• Strong diagnostic skills and a patient-centered approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts with 5 hours in the clinic, specific dates available

Duties: A mix of rounding and outpatient clinic

Average Daily Census: 6-8 patients

Patient Population: Adult 40% and geriatric 60%

Procedures: EMGs are preferred

Will have to supervise

EMR: Epic

Support Staff: 1 APP, 1 RN, 1 LPN, 1 EMG tech

Must be board-certified or truly board-eligible
