Optometry Contract Assignment with Shifts Available Nationwide

This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on patient care within a supportive medical practice environment.

As a Locum MD in Ophthalmology, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive eye care, diagnosing and treating various ocular conditions, and performing surgical procedures when necessary. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments
• Diagnose and treat a variety of ocular diseases and conditions
• Perform surgical procedures, including cataract surgery and laser treatments
• Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care
• Educate patients on eye health and preventive care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
• Valid medical license to practice in California

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Will travel to patients in a van provided by the facility, support staff included

Patient Population: Veterans and active duty military

Shifts available in all 50 states

Must be board-certified
