This contract position requires an on-site presence, offering a unique opportunity to provide essential medical care to children in a supportive environment.

As a Locum MD in Pediatrics, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating various pediatric conditions, ensuring the highest standard of care for our young patients. You'll work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services, contributing significantly to our mission of improving child health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients
• Diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses and injuries in children
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Provide guidance and education to parents and caregivers on pediatric health
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Stay informed about advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices
• Participate in on-call duties as required
• Ensure compliance with all medical regulations and standards

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Current medical license to practice in the state
• Experience in pediatrics or related field (minimum of 2 years preferred)
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric medicine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 7-day stretches

Level II nursery

Patient Census: 3-5 pediatrics and 3-15 newborns per day

Duties: Provide care for pediatric patients, call for emergency or complicated c-sections, and ED call for pediatric patients

Required Procedures: Neonatal resuscitation 

Support Staff: RNs

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
