Description

As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. You will play a crucial role in interpreting medical images and contributing to the overall efficiency of our medical team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to discuss findings and treatment options
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all imaging procedures
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with radiology advancements
• Assist in developing protocols to enhance imaging services
• Provide consultations to referring physicians regarding imaging results
• Manage patient workflow to optimize service delivery

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license to practice in the state of Florence
• Completion of a residency program in Radiology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
• Prior experience in a clinical radiology setting is preferred

Schedule: Monday 7a–Monday 7a, every other week

Monthly Volumes: 100-125 stroke alerts, 25 angiograms, 8-15 interventions, and 5-10 embolizations

Duties: Perform cases as needed, respond to urgent/emergent callback cases, answer consults, round on patients, clinic coverage, etc.

Support Staff: APP working a 7 on/7 off schedule, navigator, and stroke coordinator

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
