As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients through advanced imaging techniques. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality radiological services and will be instrumental in improving patient outcomes through accurate interpretation of imaging studies.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
- Interpret imaging results and provide timely reports to referring physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in radiological practices
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and methodologies
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff and radiology technicians
- Manage patient records and documentation accurately and confidentially
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Radiology
- 3-5 years of clinical experience in a radiology setting
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques and protocols
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Current medical licensure to practice in the state of Columbia
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
Call: Weekdays or weekends, 4:30p-8a
Skillsets: DX, US, CT, MRI, IR, or nuclear medicine
EMR: CPRS
Any state license accepted
Must be board-certified
